Denver – 2001
Sometimes memories from my teenage years come back with more clarity then is expected. Out of the blue a rather innocuous building, sound, or even a smell will trigger a flood of memories that had been out of my conscious mind for years. This phenomenon has been happening fairly often lately, usually with memories from the ages of sixteen to eighteen. It just so happens that almost all of these memories are associated in one way or another with Ultima Online™.
The other day I was driving through Kent, I’m not sure where exactly. Just some random generic business/commercial area. Something filled with your usual assortment of nondescript office buildings. The single floor type, with glass fronts over all the units. Each unit resembling one of those highway motels, identical front window after identical front window. As I looked out at the passing buildings I was flooded with memories of my life at age eighteen.
I was in Denver, in the passenger seat of Ken Kemp my friend and Guild master’s mid-eighties Mustang. Ken was a role model of sorts, he was older, wiser, and dated a really hot exotic dancer (if my memory serves me correctly). I had been in Denver for a few days, bouncing around from place to place visiting friends. At the moment we were headed to the workplace of fellow guild mate April/Sapphire Dragon. I remember being nervous, and excited at the same time. As I recall, April worked at some sort of system builder/solution provider. I remember seeing a lot of Macintosh systems, and the whole thing looked very… upper class. Wide open retail space, clean wiring, and large full length windows. Not that I was really paying attention to any of these details, my mind was racing and my stomach was churning over so fast I thought there was a butterfly family reunion going on inside it. At that point in my life I had only met maybe a handful of the people I interacted with online, and all of them had been males. In my mind all the women I knew online must be as sexy and seductive as they made themselves out to be.
Imagine my surprise when I discovered that April was a normal person, and wasn’t in fact this overly flirtatious buxom babe who had virtuous heroes and evil villains falling over themselves just to get in her good graces. Even with this amazing discovery, I still remember avoiding eye contact and looking at the floor. Thinking back on it now I’m honestly not sure why I wasn’t able to immediately come out of my shell so to speak. Maybe my fears were instantly transferred from being intimidated by my mental image of April to worrying I somehow wasn’t who she expected me to be?
We didn’t stick around long, April had to work and Ken had to go pickup his copy of Tribes 2™. Everything after that is a blur of base invasions and flying bomber/jets.
The PRC© and its new management..
So, I’ve spent most of the day transfering content between hosts. Hopefully by the end of the week the move should be complete. I’ve avoided naming the new ownership mainly because of my distaste with the gossip I’ve noticed over the last week or so.
So I’ll tell you all what I’ve told Sable and Gwen. The new ownership of the PRC© is a tried and true professional with years of experience running, creating, and promoting community websites. On top of that, the new management is entirely unbiased to any groups inside the roleplaying community. Infact, I was completely closed off to the idea of anyone taking the reigns of the PRC© and continuing on until I was approached by this specific party.
I have high hopes for the future of the site in the hands of the new management.
R.I.P. The PRC© Issue 8 (H, I, J)
I apologize for the delay, things around here have been busy. Not to mention I’ve been using what little free time I do have to level up my Guardian. >_< So without further adieu, we have arrived at issue number 8. Which includes the glorious sections of H, I, and J. Read on.
Hayden: I have nothing but good memories of Hayden. As a roleplayer, as a guild mate, and as a member of the PRC©. I’ve known Hayden since the first day he became a Ranger. Somehow we always ended up in the same guild, and on the same side of any issues that arose. Hayden, much like other long running Rangers has always been vocal during his time with the PRC©. Never quick to anger, and usually able to see both side of the argument. I was fortunate enough to be able to meet Hayden in real life, and I have to say.. exactly like I pictured him.
Hoverain: Member of the Crimson Knights. Hoverain only made three posts, all of which dealt with the Alistor plot. His writing was clean, and easy to read but to be honest I never did follow that storyline.
Ifalna: Ifalna only posted a few times, one of which was in the drama-rich Kylara = Duke Winter thread. I imagine its possible the drama around that time could’ve played a factor in her departure. I dunno, you’ll hafta ask her.
Ignus-OSW: Was supposed to marry Morgana Si in game, not sure if it ever happened. Ignus was a member of OSW and as far as I can recall participated in a few of the roleplaying wars that happened in 03.
Isilme: Neneleni’s Seer/GM character for the Britannia Reborn server.
Isyrion: Showed up and introduced his guild, and kept the thread going for awhile. After about six or so posts he just seemed to disappear. I’m honestly not sure what happened to his guild (Order of the Dragoon).
Ivan: I believe Ivan is Brador’s real-life cousin. Which would make sense considering the majority of his few posts were related to Brador, and if he was or was not in fact the devil. Then again, it may have been Brador himself? To be honest I’m not sure, and when I read through some of Bradors’ old posts my attitude goes south, so.. Moving on!
Jacob: Other then Danny, Jacob was the most vocal FL guild member on the PRC©. Not limiting himself to topics directly related to FL, Jacob often included himself in discussions that you would assume most FL members had no interest in. Unfortunately Jacob didn’t come around until late 2005 and by then the community was a shadow of its former self. I can only assume that Jacob’s interest in RP, and maybe even UO has died off by now.
Jaden Wolf: The hilarious thing about Jaden is that for the longest time I had no idea he was actually one of my oldest UO friends. Using a new alias and seemingly coming out of nowhere, this veteran Ultima player returned strong. Before I knew it Jaden was a pillar of the most recent generation of RSB members. Unfortunately he was absent from UO for the majority of the PRCs’© lifespan, it has only been within the last year or so that he has been around us. His earlier stints in UO had him playing as one of the strongest roleplayers around Skara Brae. I only wish that was the environment these days.
Jade DOM: Old BUB member that eventually went off to play on private servers. Coincedentally also the guildmaster of D0M (Disciples of Mercaerin), a roleplaying guild that unfortunately never really took off. Jade hasn’t been around the PRC© since 2004. I can only assume that the BUB guys finally found a home on IPY.
JamieLaFae: A.K.A. Miss Pen Dragon. Jamie came around in 2003, right about the same time that we switched over from the YaBB forum software. She made a strong effort to meet new people and get involved, and quite honestly I’m not sure what happened to her. Several times she came to the forum looking for non-roleplaying help for her accounts, homes, etc. Like many others from that era I’m not sure what happened to her.
JAWS: JAWS for me was always similar in behavior to Dark, or Goku. Now, some people might take that to be an insult. However, coming from me that’s a compliment. JAWS always managed to make me laugh, and his constant attempts to roleplay a “shark” in OTW always managed to take a bad situation and bring laughter to it. I imagine Dan has even fonder memories of the kid, being that they were guildmates. I don’t know where JAWS went off to, but I haven’t heard from him since he stepped down as guildmaster of OTW.
JAWS_OTW: See: JAWS
Jeremy Harlin: A.K.A. Darkfox. Oh man, Jeremy was an amazing roleplayer. He played characters that to this day I still didn’t realize were him. The kid was veryactive, friendly, honest, and vocal. The last I heard from Jeremy was during his infamous rant about a greedy banksitter during a EGM quest. Like hundreds more from my ICQ list I haven’t heard from Jeremy in over four years. I can honestly say that Jeremy was a cornerstone of the PRCs’© early success, and part of the community died when he left.
Jerethi50: A.K.A. Aori. I believe we interacted a few times in-game during events concerning Aleena. He only ended up making a few posts on the PRC© all of which were in-character. Not sure what happened to him, as the last time I saw him I was being held captive by Nomlia somewhere on ice island. =P
JetaSybiliare: Honestly not sure. Made a few in character posts dealing with Duke. They seemed to indicate it might be a new name for an old character, but only a few posts were ever made. So.. *shrugs*
Joy: Joy has frequently found herself on the fence when it comes to the PRC©, not always her fault either. Like Gwen, she found herself frequently put between her friendship with me and her loyalties to her guild. I admit that being my friend is never the easiest of situations, and to Joy’s credit she never let me push her around. Frequently we found ourselves on opposite sides of the fence, hell several times we even got into e-yelling matches. She never held it against me though, and I’m glad the PRC© gave me the opportunity to know her.
jrockingmoogle: A.K.A. Mistique. Another Twilight Fellowship member, this one I actually know. She faded away from UO and the PRC© due to a combination of school and a lack of Macintosh support. She still comes into IRC every now and then. A very caring and friendly individual, another one of those people I’m glad to the PRC for enabling me to get to know.
Juna-DEA: Just another one of Brador’s lapdogs. Juna really only ever showed his face on the PRC© to defend Brador the last time he was banned. Nothing really more to say about this guy. Only four posts, none of which would see any other side to the coin other then the “unjust” treatment of Brador. ‘Nuff said.
So there ya go, the H, I, and J sections. I apologize for the delay as things have been crazy over here. I’ll try and stay on a more regular schedule. ; )
R.I.P. The PRC© Issue 7
I apologize for the delay this morning. I discovered a cd archive copy of the PRC© circa late 2003, and have been geeking out over all the old-school data. If nothing else, this has allowed me to re-live better times and refresh my memory of friends long past.
Enough about me though, on to the G section!
Gelinar: Another Twilight Fellowship member. I’m not sure what it is about T.F, they must breed like rabbits or something. Not sure what happened to Gelinar, as we haven’t heard from him since 2005. Maybe Sable can answer that question.
Genon: Lord of Shadows, and a great bad guy. Genon was very active, and always went out of his way to participate in just about anything he could. An early member of the PRC© and a fanatical supporter of the community in general. Genon is honestly missed.
Gerol: Gerol came across the PRC© while on the Stratics guild forums. He seemed to be pretty excited and motivated by his discovery, but unfortunately only posted twice. I suppose in a list of 600+ you run across alot of those types of users, but that doesn’t make it any less of a sad situation.
Goku: Love him or hate him, Goku is never boring. Seemingly having friends just about everywhere, Goku usually had at least one character in every major roleplaying guild (or so it seemed). Much like Fallon, Goku always spoke to my face and never behind my back. One could be pretty damn sure that Goku had his hand in just about every in-character guild war from 2002 to 2004. Funny, crazy, a little gay.. I don’t think my life would be the same if I didn’t have the benefit of random drunk calls on my cell from Goku.
Greywind Entreri: What can I say? Another Entreri clan member that showed up very briefly, made a few posts and disappeared. Such potential, and so much waste. *sighs*.
Guderyon: Old, old, old school Pacific roleplayer that dropped in a few times looking for old friends. Like many others who dropped in after years of being away, the game was just too different. We haven’t heard from Guderyon since 2004.
Gwendlyn Firemane: What can I say about Gwen that I haven’t already said? Gwen has always been a strong supporter of the community, and of the PRC© as an entity. Unfortunately Gwen is constantly taking on too many responsibilities and projects, which usually ends up in her being completely overwhelmed. I myself have been guilty at times of leaning on her too hard, and not really considering all the responsibilities that usually rest on her shoulders. One of the few ElF members to always remain my friend and confidant, I am very glad to call Gwen a friend.
And that wraps up the G section. Now pardon me as I geek out with this archived copy of the PRC© forums I came across.
R.I.P. The PRC© Issue 6
Alright, I still can’t sleep and the F section looks short enough so I’m going to give this a go. I apologize if I appear to be rambling at times. Hopefully if I fall asleep at the keyboard wordpress won’t auto-post the content. As I continue on with this series I can’t help but snicker as I am told about some of the things being said behind my back. Shame on you folks, shame indeed. After almost seven years you still continue to bad-mouth me and belittle everything Dan and I did for you guys. </3 I suppose it just reinforces my decision to close the doors.
Fallon: <— This guy? Totally a cock-fag…… In a good way though! On a serious note though, I wish all ElF members were like Fallon. Sure Fallon and I have disagreed from time to time, we’ve even resorted to name calling and personal insults in irc. However I can always count on Fallon keeping an open mind, and his priorities being for the community rather then for himself or only his guild. Fallon has never said anything behind my back that he wouldn’t say to my face, and has always given me the dead-honest truth when speaking with me. A great roleplayer and a straight shooter. I’m happy to call Fallon a friend. (Even if he does prefer sausage)
Farawen: Popped in from CoRE looking for a new place to call home. I know she applied for ElF but don’t think she got in. (For reasons I’m unaware of) We haven’t heard from Farawen since 2006, which is sad because she seemed to be very motivated.
Fenix: PDM (Pirates of the Drunken Maiden) member. Much like the guild itself, Fenix posted a few times and seemed to disappear into obscurity. I’m sure I’ve said it before, but it was sad to see yet another unique and interesting guild disappear. I assume Fenix was an alternate character for an existing member of the community, but I can’t be sure.
Fenril_Mourn: Q_S and DRO member. I have fond memories of Fenril being a very active member of Qu’ellar Myrdaruk. Fenril, along with a few others are what I like to consider the core group of the guild and really went out of their way to establish DRO as a presence in the ongoing events of the PRC© community. I’m not sure what happened to Fenril, but I really do miss him.
Feral: Another user that stumbled across us from UO.com. Feral showed up looking for a guild to match his play style. Made a few spread out posts over the course of a year and ended up leaving the game. The turnover rate for people showing up fired up about UO and roleplaying is fairly high, as alot of users ended up moving to prettier games. The concept for his character was very unique, and I would’ve enjoyed roleplaying with him had I been playing at the time.
ForestofWind: Forest showed up on the forums recruiting for his new roleplaying guild R^W (Rangers of the Wind). I assume he ended up not finding enough members and abandoned the idea, because after a month we didn’t hear from him again.
Fox Entreri: Like many of the Entreri clan during Nadir’s attempt to reboot his guild, Fox disappeared after a few posts. Which is sad, because as I recall Fox was one of the original Entreri members. The few posts he made were all in character, and infinitely easier to understand then some of the other Entreri clan members posts.
Friar Seth: Seth was one of our earlier members, and was very proactive in his actions inside the PRC©. He attended meetings, he was vocal in irc, and very active in game. A member of OSW (Not to be confused with OWE or OTW) Seth’s presence in the PRC© was deeply missed after he disappeared.
Alright, and that is the F section. Off to bed for me, I’m finally tired.
R.I.P. The PRC© Issue 5
So I can’t sleep, I figured I should take advantage of the free time and dig into the E section. Its worth noting that I changed my mind on the zero posters. It would take me well over a month of daily entries to finally finish this, and I don’t think any of us have the endurance for that.
Earnst: Wandered in from the cold at random (and by cold I mean our link on UO.com prior to EA demolishing the fansite program) Made a few posts about returning to UO and finding a guild, faded away after that.
Edge: Y’know, I’m on the wall on this one. At times Edge can be pretty cool. Other times, he can fall into line right behind Diomedes and his ilk. A bit of a man-whore, but thats not uncommon on the internet (Ultima especially). Edge historically has been one of the more active and vocal ElF members in the community. I can honestly say I have no grievances with Edge.
Eldil: Also not a member of the PRC©. Eldil was another one of my friends from BCT that made his way to the forums in an effort to keep touch.
elenari: Twilight Fellowship/SAGE member. Polite, friendly, and optimistic. Ah if they were only all like this. ^_^ elenari was absent for about a year to have her baby, and when she came back the roleplaying scene had died down dramatically. A bit sappy for my tastes, but a strong addition to the community none the less.
Eowyna Rohanna: Eowyna, like many other ElF members only showed up to post a few cross stories in the Green Gryphon. I can’t complain about them, or her for that matter. All I can really say is its a shame she wasnt more vocal.
Ettel: One of Richard Entreri’s alternate characters. Not sure why he felt the need to post out of character with it, maybe he was just being lazy. We’ll cover more about Richard when we get to the R section.
EveLAntagonist: Eve was never too much of a roleplayer, a part-timer at best. However, Eve was open to just about anything and always kept an open mind. An old friend of mine from my Siege Perilous days, he was always there to give me feedback when I needed a confidant. Somehow Eve managed to lead a real life and be one of the richest Ultima players I’ve ever known. (Also, I’m pretty confident I was a better pvper then him. ^_^)
Eve_Condare: Guild-mistress of SiN and one of our oldest members. Unfortunately Eve disappeared from the PRC© late in 2003. I’ve always wondered what happened to her, as I have fond memories of conversations with her where she would overwhelm me with ideas and suggestions that she had for the site.
That wraps up the E section, see you next time for the F gang.
R.I.P. The PRC© Issue 4
As per request the D section comes early. I just know you have all found yourself glued to your seats, eagerly awaiting each dramatic and lip-biting release. So, without further rambling.. I give you.. the D‘s.
Dai-san: Dai really only posted twice. So unfortunately, all I can tell you is that he was both a member of OSW (Order of the Silver Wolves) and D0M (I have no idea). Nothing really mentionable here.
DanGarion-PRC: Dan really needs no introduction. If you’re here reading this post you know all about Dan, and there is nothing I can really tell you that would be shocking or surprising. Someone recently asked me ”considering all the trouble and heart break the PRC© brought you, do you think it was worth it?”. The only honest answer I can give to that question is ”everything else aside, the best thing about the PRC© for me was the friendship I developed with Dan”. Over the last six or so years Dan has gone from being a friend I made on the internet to being the closest thing to a brother I’ll ever know. Professional relationship aside, Dan is one of the most important people in my life.
On the matter of Dan’s impact on the PRC©, the only thing I can say that would come close to summarizing said impact is this. Without Dan I have no doubt that I would’ve lost steam years ago. Not to mention Dan’s constant drive to improve the security of the site as well as its professional look. Everything I know about web development and design has been a direct result of Dan pushing the PRCs’© technology forward. Dan truly is one half of the whole drive behind the PRCs’© long running success.
Danny Ocean: I always thought Danny was laughing at the PRC© behind the facade he presented on the forums. He never seemed to have control of his own guild, and his actions never seemed to truly have the best interests of the community in mind. Maybe Danny was one of those types of people who just have to be liked by everyone. I don’t know, you’d figure his position in FL would be counter-productive to such a condition. Either way I trusted Danny Ocean about as far as I could throw him, and I really let that out through my ghost-writer.
Darkfox: A USO member that I never really got to know. He was promoting some attempt at re-opening the Green Gryphon (to which I was strongly opposed), but other then that I cannot remember much about him. Seemed to be the catalyst for a few anti-OTW threads on the forums relating to an existing in-game war at the time.
Darklock: Athric Circle GM and a good friend of mine. Sure, Darklock was an ass most of the time but he was a lovable ass. I’m not sure what happened to Darklock, as the last time I spoke with him was 2003. Darlock had a bit of an ego, but he his heart was pure gold. I recall he was also one of the people on Jennae Kynn’s shitlist around the time of her emotional breakdown. Darklock and I shared a few laughs about the situation over some drinks at ElF Meet 2003 (I believe). One of the few people that could’ve made UO fun for me again.
Dark OTW: Crazy kid, and one time GM of OTW. Dark was one of batch of OTW members that I really, really miss. Along with JAWS, those two always knew how to make me laugh. I’m honestly not sure what happened to Dark. He just seemed to fade away one day. One might assume that the drama with Jennae left a bad taste in his mouth, but who am I to say? I just call it like I see it.
DemonWolf: Another former OTW member, and another guy guilty of behind-my-back flirting with Sabrae. Like I said earlier, I can’t really blame him. DemonWolf always seemed like a nice guy, and I’m pretty damn sure I treated him with less respect then he deserved. Either way, DemonWolf was very active in the PRCs’© earlier days and faded away over the last three years. Yet another throwback to the YaBB SP1 days.
Demyss OTW: I always thought the Demyss character captured the true side of Jennae Kynn’s player. As mentioned earlier, later on in Jennae’s time with the PRC© her behavior quickly became harmful to the community as a whole. Blinded by her unsubstantiated rage towards myself (and later on towards Dan), she frequently made posts or comments directed soley at damaging me by proxy through the PRC©. Later on that rage ended up costing her a great deal of friends, and all but destroying the OTW guild. Honestly I have no idea where Jennae is today.
Denvrai: I completely missed the coming and the departure of Denvrai. The potential in Denvrai’s stories and actions today seems limitless. Unfortunately I was not there to focus the spotlight on Denvrai’s actions, and at the time (as it was usually) no one was bothering to contribute to the front page news. It was things like this (Denvrai losing steam and eventually fading away) that slowly ate away at my passion for sustaining the roleplaying community on Pacific. Wherever Denvrai is now, I’m certain fun and engaging rp is continuing on.
deZ: Alternate character for Zed? Honestly not sure what the story was behind this, but the login was used solely for two in character posts.
Diana Stormcloud: I could be wrong about this, but I believe Diana was a member of ElF. If not at least one of what I like to call the “ElF elitists”. Diana being less of an elitist then most of that crowd, but she still didn’t post that often. Usually her posts entailed supporting one of Sarlock’s rants against the community in defense of ElF. I don’t want to lump Diana in with the majority of ElF. There are far louder voices in that corus.
Diomedes: Case in point. An elitist to the last. Diomedes was an outspoken opponent of the PRC©. Even so far as to on more then one occasion make his dislike and distaste towards the site very, very public. Honestly I’m glad he only posted three times on the PRC©, because his “holier then thou” attitude was nothing but bad mojo for the community as a whole. Given the opportunity I wouldn’t hesitate to sack-tap this sorry sonuva bitch. Not a single god-damn positive idea or comment ever came out of his mouth (unless it was directed towards ElF). So good riddance I say.
Dolby_Rix_OSW: GM of OSW. Only posted twice, really seemed to have very little drive to participate in the community. His loss I say. After all, we *loves* us some wolves.
Draven_Dremaul: USO member, very few posts. Which is unfortunate, because from what I’ve heard of the man he was fun to be around and a good roleplayer. Even if he did rip off my Black Hand character’s first name. =^_^=
And here we are again at the close of a section. I hope you enjoyed yourselves, I know I did. I’ll catch you all later for some hot E on F action.
R.I.P. The PRC© Issue 3
So here we are with another short section. This one even shorter then the last. I suppose I should count my blessings though, because there are certain letters where the list seems to just not stop.On an amusing note however, Assia and Midnight’s Pacific Community site was down for the last three days and just came up a few moments ago. Still no explanatory post, or even an apology though.
But enough about my table scraps, onto the C section!
Caelspar: A dream user, but unfortunately one that showed up late in the game. Cael is a great guy who never failed to let me know when I was being an idiot, or support me when he knew I was right. His greatest downfall though is that he just doesnt play enough. Something that is more the fault of the current UO environment, and less of him.
Casa: Stereo-typical ElF member. Only posted four times, made no attempt at interaction with other people or introducing herself. The posts drenched with special elvish words, characters, and plot elements that only ElF members would appreciate. They are a dime a dozen. (Those type of posts, not ElF members =P)
Cattie Brie: For some reason Cattie’s name really rings a bell, but going over her posts I can’t figure out why. Its possible I encountered her during my later days as a citizen of the City of the Damned. Honestly though, I’m not sure. She seemed to really enjoy fiction, and even if most of her posts made little sense to me she was friendly enough.
Chartreusé: I honestly can’t figure out who this person was. Maybe an alt of Goku? Or even one of his friends? Its worth mentioning that the username is another throwback to the YaBB SP1 days.
Chestahusamowich: Maro Goobs’ alternate login. Not sure why he thought he needed it, or what the hell the name meant. Either way he only posted four times, none of which were RP related. (More on Maro in the M section)
Christo: DEA member, outspoken member of the Brador fan-club, and unconfirmed Valen hater. Christo (as I recall) was almost always supporting Brador in whatever his latest crusade was. Be it my apparent abuse of admin powers, the incompetence of my web team, or the general shittiness of the PRC© community as a whole.
cirrus: Not a PRC© member, and not even an Ultima Online player. cirrus was in my platoon during BCT and swung over to the forums in an attempt to stay in touch.
Craftsman: Twilight Fellowship member that only made two posts. His initial post had promise, as it was an introductory post to the community, but it seems he just lost interest rather quickly. A disappointment indeed.
Cretan Lover: GM of the Drunken Pirates (RUM). Like most novel and interesting ideas, his guild and his participation died off after six or so months. I don’t know why, but pirate guilds seem to die a quick death on Pacific.
Crono Entreri: Not your typical Entreri clan member, but unfortunately one of the very few who bothered to post at the PRC©. I suspect Crono is a female, late teens or early twenties. Alot of her posts really didn’t make sense and seemed to be more at home on myspace.
Cybrdragon: GM of S&M and a very well spoken lady. I really wish Cybrdragon had posted more and been more active in the PRC©. If I had bothered to pay a little more attention I would’ve spent more time with her, helping her become more of a center piece of the PRC© and strengthening the community just by having her be active.
Aaaaaand.. That concludes the C section. Make sure to head over here next time when we get to the D section. (Which judging by the names on the list promises to be much, much juicer)
R.I.P. The PRC© Issue 2
So here we are, as promised. The B section of our PRC user list. I’ll warn you ahead of time the B section is probably the thinnest of letters, but I’m sure we’ll make up for it in some of the more common sections.
Bardox: Not sure what became of this guy. Seemed to come out of the mist, so to speak. Showed up on the PRC © looking for a guild to join, made about four posts related to said topic and disappeared. Notable to mention that he is a yet another throwback to our YaBB SP1 days.
Barkeep: Barkeep reminded me alot of Ben Kahns in a way. The man was a great roleplayer, and I honestly really enjoyed hearing from him. There was something about how he and his friends created the environment in which they played that just seemed to suck me in and make me feel like I was there.
Barl DeAbreago: Evil Drow Liche from Atlantic. Barl popped in from time to time, and it was nice to hear from someone from another server. I believe he was also a leader in the OES guild, if not at least a member.
Bella: My ghost-writer. Bella allowed me to really rip into subjects I knew I couldn’t do outright. Sometimes I pushed things a bit further then I really wanted to. Just enough to give her her own personality and make her stand out from the crowd.
Bezel: Ah Bezel of RSB.. Bezel was a good guy, honestly he was. Just not the type of person that should’ve been in a leadership position. His status as a Captain in RSB went to his head rather quickly. Bezel and I bumped heads several times in the period that he was active, and fortunately for the both of us there were calmer, wiser Rangers to jump in the middle.
Bjorn: Oh it was so good to see Bjorn pop in! Bjorn and I spent alot of time together at the Endless Graveyard and the City of the Damned. One of my first friends when I decided to try playing an evil character (circa 1999). Bjorn popped in only a few times at the PRC©, which is usually the sad truth for people that return from the “Golden Days”. Ultima just doesnt have the staying power it used to.
Bohemund: GM of TOK (Teutonic Order of Knights). Bohemund started posting on the PRC© with a pretty strong desire to get his guild out there and involved. Unfortunately for all of us he got into the game a little late, and very few people were actively playing. Its sad, because I probably would’ve joined TOK if it had been around earlier on.
Brador: Lucifer, Satan, A.K.A. the Devil. Love him or hate him Brador played a significant role in the development of the PRC©. Unfortunately for all of us it was mostly a negative role. Brador was my first true “pain in the ass” user, and thankfully for all of us by the time he really started to get to me I had brought Dan on board. Dan was able to login under my username and appease Brador’s grandiose demands while at the same time convincing me it was a much better idea then my reply of “Go fuck yourself”. I really wish Brador and I had become closer, because I always thought he would’ve made a great friend.
Brad Entreri: We’ll cover more about the Entreri clan when we get to the N section. Unfortunately Brad only made two posts with us, and never really showed up again. A disappointment for sure, because I for one would have really enjoyed a resurgence of the old Entreri clan from the “Golden Days” of Pacific.
Bruin: Bruin is the polar opposite of Bezel. Friendly, charismatic, and a strong leader. The kind of guy that avoids leadership positions, but when they are shoved on him he rocks the house like nobodies business. A strong roleplayer to boot, Bruin was active in all phases of the PRC’s© lifespan.
BurzBurguul: Burz is easily one of my favorite orcs, and has always been active in the PRC©. So I’m really confused as to why his post count is so low. The only explanation I can think of is that most of his activity was in the PRC© irc room and in-game. (Also another throwback to our YaBB SP1 days)
That about covers the B section. Join us next time for the C‘s.
